Somatic (body) coaching puts emphasis on just that: the body. We have more often than not been trained to use our minds to analyze, problem solve, and think our way through life. This creates a disconnect between our felt experience and our understood experience. Spending more time in our heads helps us to be effective performers and problem solvers, but typically also point us towards stress, anxiety, and difficulty managing our emotions. Without anyone modeling how to connect and express our felt experience we tend to live strictly in the linear and logical world of understanding, and never allow our bodies the chance to process and release how we feel in the moment.
With 1:1 somatic coaching I work with men to re-establish connection to the felt experience using a "bottom up" approach. We focus on being mindful of our felt experience and what it's telling us, and allow the body to lead. Once this connection is established, we work using those tools to process through what comes up and what feels like holds you back from attaining your higher self. I do not problem solve or "fix" your experience, but track and help maintain your felt connection and lead you to a place that has the answers to your questions. Typically there is an abundance of fear and doubt involved as what is discovered with these coaching sessions is not always rational or logical, and fear around much in life leads to a freeze response. I will help you feel comfortable in the face of fear, and as I had to discover for myself in my own way that when we stop trying to control what happens, we make space for what already wants to happen.
We start by creating a space in which you feel safe. Each session begins with a grounding meditation and maintains a baseline of safety throughout. As mentioned I use a "bottom up" approach helping forge a deeper connection with your somatic experience - bodily sensations, emotions, and subconscious. It is in this state that you are better able to discover your truths and address past wounds.
Sessions are conducted in 60-minute sessions weekly where I ask three simple things from you:
Your privacy helps create the safe space.
From start to finish our sessions together are strictly confidential. You may see me take notes at times or even request to record a session, this is simply for me to maintain focus and trajectory toward your goals. Any notes taken remain private, and I will never record a session without having permission granted.

"When I first started working with Jordan I was unsure what if anything there was to learn about myself that I didn’t already know. Jordan let our sessions move at their own pace and let them go wherever I wanted to take them. He was adept at asking the right questions at the right time to keep me focused on feelings in my body and taking them deeper to see where they led to. He helped me discover unprocessed emotional traumas from my middle school years that still reside buried within me and affect how I interact socially today. It was a connection I had never thought about before and would likely not have come to on my own, but it has given me an awareness of it that I can now begin to process those things so that I can move on from them."
"I absolutely loved my coaching sessions with Jordan. He has the unique ability to listen carefully, ask relevant questions, and allow whatever comes up to guide the session. Since working with Jordan, I have been able to slow down and tune into what my body is telling me. I have learned to accept whatever and however I am feeling as perfectly okay. Very excited and grateful to keep working down this growth path with him!"
"After group work I felt it only uncovered the tip of the iceberg. Once I had one on one sessions with Jordan I felt like I was able to dig deeper which brought more clarity to how I felt emotions and how I would react to them. Since the one on one sessions I can say with confidence that I am much more able to recognize my emotions that arise and what activates them and by doing so I feel I react to situations from a grounded perspective."
